"piCorePlayer" on x86 "Joggler"

Ok, bit of an odd one here. I have some Jogglers running SqueezeOS (Ubuntu 14.04.1, plus Squeezeplayer). However, the software is very old, and they can be a little temperamental. Is it possible to create an x86 version of piCorePlayer that I could run on them instead? Something that would actually be maintainable? How hard would that be?
