Anybody have a thought on this?
I recently put my RPi 3 back in service as an LMS playout device. The unit was shelved for a few months but before that ran for a couple of years, on and off. It was never problematic.
Now though, after it sits for a day or so - i'm not sure exactly how long - when I resume using it, there's very obvious low end distortion, a rumbling sound. Rebooting the player clears it.
Any thoughts on what might be going on? The only changes I've made are a.) the DAC, it now feeds a Modi 3+ and b.) the wifi dongle. The old one stopped working so I bought one from Cana. (The Pi has wifi built in but it doesn't play well with the NetGear Orbi network I'm using, so I disable it and use an external dongle.)
