First, I'm a self admitted idiot. My knowledge of electronics is still anchored in the 1950's. So....
Would it make any sense to have a device that would switch between two Li-ion batteries, powering a pi and DAC. The batteries would make for a super quiet supply and if it would charge one battery, while using the other, automatically, you would have a 24/7, extremely quiet supply at a reasonable cost. I realize it would have a relatively short lifespan, but it could be cheap and you could use store bought rechargeable USB Packs, etc. to replace the batteries when they go bad.
Any thoughts, insults or otherwise?
